Two events of significance occurred during of the birth of Ashley Lorenzi Knight in 1977: the VC10 jet flight time record from London to Bahrain was smashed by her father in his determination to be by her side and the appearance of brilliant meteor showers over the desert island that was witnessed by her godmother. At the age of 5, she was featured in the famous Paris Vogue magazine, beginning her modeling career. In 1984, her family moved away from the gathering war storms of the Middle East and settled into the seasonal rhythms of ranch life in beautiful Idaho, USA. There, Ashley flourished singing, writing poetry and short stories. Her love of horses and strong riding skills made her an elegant Rodeo Queen and spokesperson. She continued to model and act, taking on various jobs all over the country.

By the age of sixteen, Ashley was enrolled in University. Her English language skills resulted in a coaching job from her professor for new writers. Her summers were spent studying and one semester, working with Walt Disney World at their Disney College Program. Studying opera for an entire year, the basic foundation laid the way for her future singing endeavors. She graduated with a BA in English/Writing Emphasis and a Minor in Biology.

A chance meeting in downtown Boise brought love’s destiny to her life in 2000. Greg and Ashley were married in McCall by the glacial blue waters of the Payette Lake. Inseparable, they now have two small children of their own. The main characters of The FINS Trilogy mirror much of her life with her husband.

In addition to writing, Ashley is known throughout the world as The Mermaid Lady. Attending events, visiting water parks and aquariums, she also models for free-lance photographers to help develop their art. Incredibly supportive of local artists, she hired designer Ken Koeberlein of Koeber Designs to create the cover for all three books of The FINS Trilogy. He also designed the cover for Seeking God – a Christian Daily Devotional set to be published for 2016.

Her latest young adult novel, FALWYN,  was released in 2014 and is available via Amazon and at www.crossroadpress.com. Worlds Apart, her collaboration with fellow authors Steven Savile, David Wood, Laura Bradley, Aaron Rosenberg and more, was available for a limited time.

In the summer of 2015, Ashley and her husband moved their family to New Zealand where they currently reside in Hamilton. She works with The National Aquarium of New Zealand and is available for various events about New Zealand.

In addition to Seeking God, she completed The Argo Initiative – a joint author collaborative which will be released in 2016 and finished the anticipated adult thriller book, Five – set to be released in 2016.

2017 has been a busy year with two hits being published – Herald, a joint collaboration with friend and co-author David Wood, and The Argo, with mentor Steven Savile.
She is currently working on finishing edits on Five and hopes to publish it along with Kyne in 2018.
